We’re excited to announce Annotatr 1.0.3, packed with UI improvements, smarter workflows, and better tools for debugging and user management.
Here’s what’s new in 1.0.3

Improved User Experience
- Notifications panel and board now display helpful messages when there’s no content, keeping you informed at all times.
- Filters and bulk actions are cleaner and easier to use, helping you focus on what matters.
- User management is more intuitive with role descriptions, new icons, and enhanced layout.

Customisations & Personalisation
- You can now choose avatar colours for users, which appear across activity logs and the board.

Smarter Error Tracking
- We’ve added a log capture utility to record console and network errors. Developers now get more context for bug reports, and users can copy logs for easier troubleshooting.
Better Handling of Special Pages
- Annotatr now fully supports virtual pages like 404 or search results, making note creation and page context more reliable.
Bug Fixes & Reliability
- Fixed issues with note deletion pointer events, missing import fields, and note creation on non-standard pages.
Other Improvements
- Activation process streamlined to only add the current user as a developer.
- Developers and test users are now mutually exclusive.
- New EmptyState component and purple loading indicators provide clearer feedback across the app.
We’re always working to make Annotatr faster, smarter, and easier to use. Update to 1.0.3 today and experience the improvements for yourself.
